Enrollment

Students enrolled in our facility located at 1731 (E) Freeway Drive in Reidsville, North Carolina, will be required to successfully complete 1,528 hours to satisfy course requirement. The length of the course is 12 to16 months with a rolling enrollment at the beginning of each month. Students will become eligible to apply for a license with the North Carolina State Board of Barber Examiners upon completion of the Tinsley’s School of Barber Styling curriculum.

Students must provide:

A copy of driver’s license or valid state identification

A copy of social security card

FBI criminal history summary report (required by the North Carolina Board of Barber Examiners)

Admissions

It is our admission policy that each student provide proof having one of the following:

An academic transcript from an institution of higher learning,

secondary school completion credentials (homeschoolers)

Any student without a high school diploma or equivalent prior to admissions must complete a nationally recognized standard or industry developed test that measures aptitude or successfully complete 250 hours with a grade of 90 or better:

Re-admission policy

A former student is allowed (1) re admission and may not re-enter after another withdrawal or termination unless mitigating circumstance are determined on a case- by- case basis. If and once accepted for re-entry the student transcript will be reviewed to determine credit for hours earned. The student will be charged the current rate for tuition on any remaining hours.

Transferring of credits (hours)

All transfer hours are examined on a case-by-case basis. There will be no guarantee that hours of training or education received at another barber school will be applied to our current requirements for graduation.
